Beginners Guide to Digital Photography and Watermark

Now that we’re in the digital age, people take photos as if it’s a daily routine. Gone are the days when you only use cameras during a special occasion. Most of us have skipped the professional photography route, and it’s for the better in my opinion.

However, how much do we know about photography and how can we get the best of it? And, how difficult is it to learn a few tricks to make your photos look more beautiful? With this in mind, we will tackle about how you can get started with digital photography and watermarking. Beginners 101:

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

In this age of advancement and technology, taking pictures simply on your mobile phones or digital cameras may lose the true essence of photography. Understanding the basics of photography is the key to better images. Once you study these basic tips, they add up to your experience and taking photos will be more enjoyable.

APERTURE

Aperture may often get difficult to figure out especially if you’re still learning how your camera works, but it gets easy once you understand. The aperture is the opening in the lens of your camera and it controls how much light can get through. When adjusting your aperture settings, you will see the opening gets bigger and smaller. The wider the opening, the more light gets through and the brighter the photo.

SHUTTER SPEED

Shutter speed can be easily explained, it is the amount of time the lens of your camera opens and takes the photo. If you’re taking a moving object or a person in motion, a fast shutter speed can make the object froze in time, while the slow speed can create an illusion of movement in a still photograph.

ISO AND NOISE

Noise has been a common reference when we edit our photos, even if we’re only using mobile apps. But what are ISO and noise? They are simply the measurement of the sensitivity to the light. The lower the ISO the less sensitive it is to the light which makes the exposure more accurate. Whilst high ISO setting is useful in getting details in a dark photograph.

PLACING WATERMARK ON YOUR PHOTOS

If you want to make photography a profession or simply a hobby, then knowing the basics can open to a world of limitless possibilities. There are certainly many hobbies that became careers, and if photography is something you take seriously then you must also protect the images you have worked so hard.

Watermarking your photos is an easy process, provided with the right software such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint 3D.

With a lot of free trials available out there and paid versions, you can easily watermark any images for your blog, social media and many more.
